You should ONLY be approved for LASIK if you are an EXCELLENT candidate.

Although Dr. Walters has personally performed over 40,000 refractive procedures (both LASIK and cataract), an excellent record of success in a medical field where 5,000 procedures is considered the benchmark, his focus is always on the person.

Affordability is a factor in any elective surgery and some centers focus on this sensitive issue by offering too-good-to-be-true discounts and price cuts.

While offers like $499 or $699 look good, the truth is that the amount of vision correction performed for this price is so minor that most people who qualify wouldn’t have needed LASIK to begin with. According to All About Vision, the average price for a all laser custom LASIK is $2,170.

We won’t make our decisions as directed by accountants in a far-off corporate office.

One of the benefits of owning your own practice is that you get to make all the decisions about that practice. Things like the type of equipment you’ll use and how often you’ll upgrade it, the number of people on the patient care staff and the standards you’ll adhere to for your patients. Dr. Walters is very particular about these things and makes sure the rest of us are too.
